El nombre Los Amparito es tanto un tributo a la cantante mexicana Amparo Ochoa como a unos famosos lonches (sandwiches) de Guadalajara, México. Sin haber tenido una publicación oficial, entre 2009 y 2010 el proyecto dirigido por Carlos Pesina se presentó en festivales como Sónar (Barcelona), SXSW (USA), Nrmal, Mutek, Cervantino (México) y en otros eventos en Inglaterra y Suiza. Además de haber colaborado con / remezclado a artistas como Julieta Venegas, Carla Morrison, Lucrecia Dalt, Andrea Balency, entre otrxs.

The name Los Amparito is as much a tribute to the Mexican singer Amparo Ochoa as it is to some famous lonches (sandwiches) from Guadalajara, Mexico. Without having had an official publication, between 2009 and 2010 the project directed by Carlos Pesina was presented at festivals such as Sónar (Barcelona), SXSW (USA), Nrmal, Mutek, Cervantino (Mexico) and at other events in England and Switzerland.
